Montage is intuitive, easy to use and therefore a real inspiration. But perhaps the best part is that Arboretum has realized that sound is an important part of any visual production, and Montage (unlike many other apps) lets you manipulate any kind of sound any way you want. Montage is highly recommended!

Of all the different creative softwares I've tried this one stands out as
something special. Their notion of a "trackless" workspace is brilliant and
seems so obvious.....The user interface should be the foundation of a program
and I think these guys are getting it right. Working with Montage is fun and
creative and, most importantly, I don't get that kind of "software fatigue" many
other programs seem to instill in me. I hope this is just the beginning and
that arboretum finds a way to advance this software without succumbing to the
pitfalls of other "bloated" apps. This is a review of 1.0 so I take off one
star on stability but hopefully thats fixed in the latest update.

Nice program, just like iMovie if not better. I was just wondering, is ther any more plug-ins for the future of this App, if so I am considering to purchase this product.

HyperEngine-AV has been foisted on me as a sort of shell that I have to use to access the sound editing capabilities of RayGun Pro. It makes a very poor sound editing environment. The default size of the waveform displays for sounds imported into HyperEngine-AV is uselessly small, and using the vertical zoom to magnify the waveform results in an ugly, blurry mess. Maximum zoom is insufficient, and zooming out again requires repeat visits to the zoom out sub-sub-menu because the keyboard shortcut doesn't work.
RayGun Pro is a powerful and sophisticated tool for removing noise from recorded sound, but it's hobbled and diminished by the need to use it within HyperEngine-AV, which despite its interesting approach to AV composition, makes a rank and uncooperative sound editor.
