FridgeMagnets ReviewShareware ? 9$95… - Version: 2.0, 1/13/2003 02:59PM PST

? It would be more funny than the application (except for 5 minutes) if the developers were serious... And this software isn't serious enough to be used as a regular text editor : the most elementary features are not implemented. Where is the scrolling bar, for example ??? I can only write a few lines, my screen isn't big enough... Believe me : don't throw TextEdit, the Terminal (don't imagine that some unix commands can be launched with FridgeMagnets, I don't know if this is a bug or what, but it won't work at all ), AppleWorks, Word or any other software using letters: FridgeMagnets won't be a good replacement for such tools. Don't replace your "fonts" folders with FridgeMagnets : too many font attributes are not supported in this software and your regular softwares won't be able to load FridgeMagnets fonts (another bug I guess). Trying to convert the FridgeMagnets fonts using various tools (fondu, for example) didn't work (or did I miss something ? the readme isn't providing any instruction...).

letters better, but the new colors are nicer. How about adding uppercase? Also need the ability to group letters so they are easier to move around. Still lots of fun.

reasonably well done, but there isn't much to it. I didn't hate my 10 minutes with it, but I didn't find it particularly fun either. Also I don't think it has anything to offer to my 2 year old as it is too difficult to use for him. Needless to say this should be freeware, though that wouldn't make it any more interesting, just free.
