Product Description:

Customize alerts for the hour, half hour, and quarter hour. You may have the computer speak the time, play a sound file of your choice, play the standard alert sound, do nothing, or pick a folder to have ChimeX pick the song/sound for you.

What's new in this version:

  • 1.3.1 is a minor update to 1.3 where the preferences file is updated as soon as the user clicks OK instead of waiting for the application to quit.
  • Separated the single "fifteens" option into "quarter after" and "quarter of" the hour.
  • Removed the white background from the music notes on the preferences window.
  • Added animation to the music notes when the arrow is hovered over them.
  • Tweaked the speech so that "o'clock" sounds more natural.
  • The options on the preferences window were put in "chronological" order. ie: On the hour, Quarter After, On the half, and Quarter of.

This great little app. is very usefull if you get soo carried away when you are on the computer that you loose tract of time. You can add great sounds like 20th
Century Fox movie intro music that will alert you to get up before your legs fall off!
it is worth five bucks of anyones money. The developer of this program responds
faster than dialing 911.

A very nice app, but it is missing one feature from the old classic TeaTime app that I can't live without: the ability to specify my own sound file! I remember the fine old days in 1996, putting the teabag into the hot water in the afternoon, only to forget it completely, until Patrick Stewart reminded me. Of course, I also have ChimeX set to play a tibetan mindfulness bell every 30 minutes, so you know the kind of person I am...
