A very nice app, but it is missing one feature from the old classic TeaTime app that I can't live without: the ability to specify my own sound file!
I remember the fine old days in 1996, putting the teabag into the hot water in the afternoon, only to forget it completely, until Patrick Stewart reminded me.
Of course, I also have ChimeX set to play a tibetan mindfulness bell every 30 minutes, so you know the kind of person I am...

and computer illiterate, I am thankful for this app that reminds me every half hour that I should separate myself from the computer and do some housework. ;-)

exists because some of us are not programmers, or even scripters. At my current hourly rate, the dollar value of my time to learn enough Unix to do a cron script correctly for this function would far exceed the $5 the developer is asking. If we dissed every app that replaced a command line, we wouldn't be using the Mac GUI!

Use cron to schedule your hourly chimes if you miss 'em that much. Lost me before I even ran the app.

It now varies the music. It is simple and does not conflict. It does one thing but does it very well. I think it is great and worth it.

need to learn that there are people behind the shareware programs. Not every piece of software is made by a faceless giant like Micro$loth. If you like the program then pay for it. If you don't like the program, then don't pay for it. These reviews are for the programs functionality, not your pet peeves. As for the splash screen (which doesn't delay the use of the program) since OS X doesn't crash, how often are you going to see the nag? Once ever? One a day? Lighten up people. The product does what it says, and does it well. 5 stars from me.

interesting." Click. Download. Disk image. 17-second nag screen. $5 registration fee for a !@#$%^&* chiming program?! 17-second delay out of the box? "Programmer obviously enjoying his stay in Wonderland." Lesson hopefully learned: make your program too unfriendly to the user, lose your audience. Idiot.

record, PTHclock is NOT free. It's donate ware, meaning that if you're using it, you're expected to pay something for it. $5 would be reasonable. You people think developers have nothing better to do than provide YOU stuff for free? Do you work for free? I imagine you get paid. Why is it people feel so entitled to free stuff? If you rave about PTHclock so much, then send the author a few bucks. Or buy this one. That would be the honest thing to do.
Century Fox movie intro music that will alert you to get up before your legs fall off!
it is worth five bucks of anyones money. The developer of this program responds
faster than dialing 911.
