Apimac English-Spanish Dictionary ReviewLike having a desktop dictionary, only better - Version: 5.6.4, 11/17/2006 07:24AM PST

This application beats having to refer to a desktop book to look up words in Spanish. Fast, concise, and easy to use, it beats any number of online or book dictionaries available on the Web or bookstores. Like any published reference book, it could use with more timely updates, but for the price and versatility, I'm one happy user.

...on lookup to be useful, in my opinion. (Much slower, for example, than Ultralingua.) In addition, the demo download has so many features disabled that it is difficult to evaluate what the product would be worth were all the features working.

Although the inclusion of a phrase book got me thinking "great, I might be able to see the word used in a natural context", the English phrases seem to be generated by some demented algorithm. (See above) that likes to create "All your base ...." type sentences.

In just 2 mins of playing found numerous mistakes (in English).

Nice, compact design, medium to big sized database, though.

.. and for the 100th time "vertical" is not "perpendicular" ...
