Product Description:
ViewIt is a OS X native, fast, extensible and very easy to use image viewer that supports most popular image formats: JPEG, TIFF, PNG, PSD and more. Images can be viewed in a window or in full screen mode. ViewIt has also tools for: quick image sorting, printing, digital cameras and EXIF tags. Anybody interested in adding his own features to ViewIt can easily do it through it plugin architecture.
What's new in this version:
- precache images - instant image viewing (smart scaling removed)
- new localization: German, thanks to Rolf Ahlborn
- new unified registration system

email images with Microsoft Entourage - bug fixed: sorting of non ascii files improved

Definitely a Buyer Beware product at this point, because the developers don't respond to email. If you want to just use this as a viewer this or Viewer Lite would probably be sufficient, but then if you just needed a viewer you probably would stick to your included version of Preview. The things I was looking for was a viewer with some better than average, but not monster Data Asset management type tools. Anyway this has the basic tools I need, but it is unstable while attempting to sort image sets of, probably close to 1,000 and definitely unusable beyond that. ViewIt could also use a GUI icon overhaul, but unfortunately it looks as if the company has elected to stop active development of it. This is bad, because they have not stopped the service to take money for the app and I'm felling a bit duped. Essentially, if you don't have many images ViewIt might be a good option for organization, if however you have a lot of images or just aren't comfortable paying for a something from a company that's no longer actively developing software keep looking.

ViewIt has served me well for over a year now. When compared dozens of other viewer seems to lack some minor features but its speed and ease of use is just amazing. It doesn't matter if I need to scan one folder or a directory tree, I can start browsing images as soon as I drop a folder of programs icon or window.
Recent upgrade fixes really annoying problem with program stability. Highly recommended application.

Download Phoenix Slides - not only it is free but it is the BEST image viewer!!!
