I just upgraded to Panther and installed the new Rip update for OS X. Works fine now. I dumped Classic, and the Rip starts up in Panther and runs with no problems at all. THIS PRINTER! ...1. The support even for the seller is poor: no answering calls on simple questions ...2. The homepage is a mess: you won't find a driver or two times the same side ...3. HP cp1700 printer over ethernet and had been frustrated with it until gimp-print came along (http://www.versiontracker.com/moreinfo.fcgi?id=15970&db=mac). If used with the ghostscript rip it makes a real postscript printer out of the cp1700. There are plenty of drivers for other models. Give it a try it can't be worse than the HP proposition...
