Add phrase search! - Version: 1.3, 6/9/2005 01:29PM PST

Both this program and Chatsearch lack the ability to search phrases. You do that in Chatsearch, and you get each word individually. You do that in Logorrhea 1.3, and the same happens.
Chatsearch allowed the ability to index chats (in Panther), so pretty much every chat was quickly searchable. But, also, in Chatsearch, I could limit the search query to one person instead of everybody. Logorrhea should be able to do this.
Logorrhea, unlike Chatsearch, when doing the query find, will show you where in the chat a word is highlighted. Chatsearch (at least the version I have) just said: "All right, found the words in these files, you look for them." Logorrhea is hardly anywhere as huge as Chatsearch in terms of monitor requirements so huge positive there to keep me from being peeved.
I'm amazed that nobody has mentioned about phrase search in these types of programs. Overall, keep Logorrhea for its better ease of use instead of Chatsearch, but don't expect either program to solve every mystery, especially if you've got over 1400 chats like I do.

Thank you! I needed this application and you had written it! Great app. I've only used for a day, but had excellent results.
Downloaded and ran logorrhea and boom, found the conversation in no time. Also noticed another conversation that I had with another colleague on the same day that reminded me of something else that needed to be done.
Thanks for saving me hours of time! :-)
Wonder if Apple will set this up in iChat 4. Find it hard to believe that this feature was overlooked and that we are already in version 3.
