I have tried to launch several times. iTerm bounces in the dock twice and closes. Running 10.3.9.
Anyone else had this problem? Suggested fix?

Better than SyncTerm? - Version: 0.9.5.0915, 9/15/2008 02:51PM PST

Just wondering. Can someone please tell me if this is better than SyncTerm? While it is a bit clunky, and rather Windowish in appearance, SyncTerm is the only terminal emulator I have found that fully and properly displays all ANSI codes. And, of course, SyncTerm hasn't seen any updates in a while. Thanks!

Seems like this latest addition with locale support also introduced problems for us using non-US keyboard. I get this error message every time I open a iTerm window, and the keys like ö ä å doesn't work, which is kind of annoying.

I like ITerm mainly for the URL handler as I use mutt to read my mails.
I don't use tabs I use screen as I've been using screen for years and am quite used to it.
I'm on a Power Mac twin G5 and from time to time ITerm goes mad, it uses up all CPU and each command typed takes a long time to actually start up. I've started up xterm at the same time and in an xterm window all goes well but the ITerm window just displays the PIZZA and is extremely slow!
I then kill ITerm and continue with xterm. Until next time.
This has happened quite a few times and so I thought I'd post it here for the developers.
I can't reproduce it, all I can say is that I'm using screen, mutt and often vim. Yesterday this happened whilst testing some perl scripts.
I like ITerm and I recommend ITerm but this problem is annoying.

I've been using OS X for six years now and I've finally found a terminal that can replace Apple's Terminal. Full screen is a killer feature. My only gripe is that the configuration/prefereces are difficult to use with somewhat sparse documentation. I've been hacking about for the last hour and I still haven't got a handle on it. It would be lovely if that shortcoming were addressed.
Best. iTerm. Ever.

Full screen mode, saner prefs/bookmarks, and continued stability. She's a keeper.
0.9.6 builds (.20090920;.20090923) to the current one after SnoLeopard upgrade last month.
Found a fresh install to a separate app directory allowed update with out the update error.

Still some minor VT100 screen issues coordinating with AIX terminal utilities like smitty that were not a problem in 0.8 revs . But base mac terminal ap does sync properly to the screen action function keys.
Still very good utility since early summer releases.
Don't be a sponge .. Donate time or $$ to "freeware" .
