RailModeller ReviewMissing features and not such a good support - Version: 3.0.5, 2/24/2008 10:26AM PST

I Like The Programm. well there is not many for the Mac anyway.
What´s missig is a Feature which some comparable PC Programms have,
To work with tolerances meaning:
Sometimes connections work in Real which do not work with the Programm because it calculates to accurate .

Superb, easy to use application that has made planning our new layout a breeze - especially given the comprehensive (and highly accurate) templates included. Considerably superior to anything else of it's type that I've tried (including the various equivalents for Windows), and it sure beats the hell outta drawing turnouts by hand!

Worth every penny.

RailModeller CommentaryWhat about wooden sets? - Version: 2.2.3, 2/7/2005 05:57PM PST

It would be great if this included the wooden train sets (e.g. Thomas the Tank Engine). Until then, it won't work for me.

RailModeller ReviewWorks well - could be improved - Version: 2.2, 11/22/2004 05:36PM PST

I have been using this app now for about 1 week and have used it to design my own Railset for 3" wide 2 lane slot car track - primarily for a layout involing slot car and HO scale train. The Railset editor takes a bit to learn but once I did it was easy to use. I would like to see multiple layers. I would have preferred a coordinate system for polygons that has +x,+y coordinates above the zero line instead of below - but that is easy enough to adjust for. I would like to see the ability to have a My Inventory Qty for any given part along with qty of parts required with a shoping list of the difference. I will be submitting my railset to the developer's website for posting - I decided that even though I have only Tyco track to make it more generic and include AFX, MM, and Life-Like parts as well. the incomplete layout that I am working on can be viewed at: http://homepage.mac.com/mattwolanski/SlotCarTrack.jpg

RailModeller ReviewFinally a great designer for Mac's - Version: 2.2, 11/17/2004 08:28AM PST

I've tried several other layout design programs for the Mac, and have been less than impressed with most. The solutions out there for Windoze are many, but often have a very steep learning curve (not to mention price). RailModeller is easy to use, has an intuitive interface, and lets you save your output in a variety of formats. After playing with it for just a few minutes I was designing ladder yards, staging and curves with easments.

RailModeller ReviewI had my doubts... - Version: 2.0, 9/23/2003 06:22PM PST

All the track planning programs I had tried in the past left me disappointed but after installing and trying this one I was very excited. So far it is easy to use and contains all of the libraries I need (BTW the Aristocraft G scale library is now on the website). I will be registering very soon!

Great program. I was looking for such a program in a long time. Till now I was forced to use Wintrack. Not anymore. Great substitution.
Great value for your money.

Really nifty... am disappointed that Aristocraft is not in the canned libraries for G-Scale. Price is very good too, compared to RR Track (pc only).
