Virex 7 Scripts Troubleshooting ReportInstall seems to be faulty - Version: 1.06, 3/6/2004 10:05AM PST

It looks like the VISE Installer copies the wrong update script into the weekly directory. At least on my machine it didn't contain the update commands, but the virus scan commands. You may want to check your installation.

By the way, i would recommend moving the update script into the daily folder to also catch the windows-worm-of-the-day. :-)

A nice touch would be if you could configure the folders it should scan. Like putting a list of folder aliases into /Library/Application Support/virexscripts/ and having those scanned automatically.

Isn't there a possibility to create a script that scans content whenever it's downloaded or opened? This is in my opinion a big disadvantage of Virex compared to Norton Anti Virus

Virex 7 Scripts Troubleshooting ReportOverwrites man page for vscanx with a link - Version: 1.04, 12/16/2003 12:47PM PST

I upgraded Virex 7 to Virex 7.2.1. It turns out that Virex 7.2.1 installs its man page at /usr/local/share/man/man1/vscanx.1

Virexscripts 1.04 wants to write a link at that location. This needs to be fixed. It seems that the main thing Virex 7.2.1 needs, in order to make the man page accessible, is to update the manpath. This is done in /etc/manpath.config.
