I have gotten more songs, trouble- and error-free, off my 160GB iPod Classic in the last 10 minutes than I was able to in DAYS with iPod.iTunes. I was so desperate I even enabled "root" with iPod.iTunes and still watched my system crawl through about 3/4 of my iPod library and then stop for unknown reasons (log reveals iPod.iTunes detected all kinds of "errors") Rubbish.
Bravo, PodWorks! Will see how the complete copy works; my iPhone is next up if all goes well.

if you're a PodWorks user and saw it stop working when you updated your iPhone or iPod Touch to the 3.0 software, never fear...the developer has a compatible version in beta that will be released shortly.
PodWorks - Does what I need it to do! Well worth the price!

I can say with certitude that PodWorks has made it so much easier to get my music, videos and podcasts onto all of my machines. It is easy to use, problem free, as far as I can tell, and does what is promised. I am very happy with it's performance and consider the $8 very well spent indeed. Thanks for the excellent value provided in this app.

I tried to the demo, pulled a few albums off of my iPod Mini. It seemed to work okay. I deleted the albums from the iPod and then went to listen to the music with iTunes. It showed a listing for my newly added tracks but the music was missing.
Bummer.
I didn't have a backup of these songs.
My advice to you if you demo this software is not to just make sure they showed up as listed in your iTunes library but make sure they actually play. Or you could lose your music like I did.

I've tried various iPod utilities. Most are overpriced and some create more problems than they solve but Podworks does exactly what it's supposed to. For some reason, iTunes keep losing my songs and I use Podworks to restore it. I especially its ability to show missing songs in iTunes when compared to my iPod and its command to recreate a selected play list iTunes. For $8 it's a bargain.

I was looking for just such a utility and it worked flawlessly. I especially like the ability to copy individual playlists and their contained music files. Also, the price is low enough that I could try the complete program after paying for it and not be disappointed if it was not suitable.
