Canon ScanExpert ReviewWorks well with Panther - Version: 3.8, 1/23/2004 07:22AM PST

bahi_para
I've been using version 3.8 with Panther (OS X 10.3.2) and have been happy with its performance as a plug-in for Adobe Photosop Elemenets 2.0.2, ArcSoft PhotoStudio 4 (that was a free download for .Mac users, in case you're wondering why I have it) and Graphic Convertor 4.6

I have a CanoScan N1220u.

The results are good. I recommend turning on the ColorSync preference in the Preferences menu that you see after choosing Acquire in your choice of image-manipulation software.

When was paying the money to buy a d646u i allready knew that one day i would have to switch to OS X. Now I have OS X and a canon product with no support (a few warm words about classic mode on some page is no support). I must have been drunk buying a canon thing!

ScanExpert 3.9 is now available! It's compatible with the D660U! Canon, thank you SO much for finally making a D660U driver for OS X!!!

Canon ScanExpert ReviewHornile, where did… - Version: 3.8, 4/26/2003 01:49PM PST

you see the page for D646U to let it work on OSX? Classic-mode is no OSX-driver to me! (In fact there is no Classic on my system no more...) By the way: No need for me to wait for the louzy support from Canon, i bought a HP ScanJet 3570c and that is working fine in OSX. (As long as you don't let the "driver" running in the background) Thanks a lot Canon! :-(

waiting for OSX drivers, you guys are the worst ever next to m-aduio drivers --you should be shut down if you ever release a new scanner before a decent driver for mine!!!

how can Canon not make a driver that actually works for their own scanners. This is a shame.
