I still have my original Apple ][e Professional, which actually starts up faster than the last two versions of OS X (Jaguar and Panther) and shuts down five times faster. Oh progress is wonderful . . . 'cept when it comes to Mac OS X.

what OS release you're using. I testet with 10.2.3 on 3 machines and I always got a picture at least :-) the "loss of second drive when booting" was intended. The "boot" button completely resets and boots the selected disk in drive 1. You're supposed to boot first, and then to insert the second disk. Maybe that's not so obvious or good and I should change it again. But I really am interested in the "no picture" thing. h.

work right on a DP G4 1.25 GHZ (Mirrored drive door). No picture, double disk drives are buggy (when you boot, loses second disk) Didn't rate though because regressions sometimes happen and it will likely be fixed soonish.

fixed the problem! I didn't know you had to click on the save button every time it wrote to disk! I thought that the button was going to be for saving machine state and it just wasn't implemented yet. Maybe I missed it but I couldn't find any thing in the docs explaining about that save button. This fixed both games I was having trouble with! Now my main wish list (adding the majority would get this the vaunted 5th star): Save Machine State, Mac Joystick Support, Not having to click that bloody save button when it writes to disk (option to make it auto save please?), prefs panel allowing you to set more RAM in the machine and edit add on cards (80 columns, mockingboard, whatever gets added to the emu over time).
Ok, with the…

addition of write protect in .6, Wizardry now works! Though I can't play cuz I have no characters to load into my party.. :( One nice addition would be to have 2 "drives" since a lot of games allow for that (in fact Wizardry even seems to require it for some tasks).
With .5, this…

emulator became MUCH better and more useable. Performance is great now, useability is much better. But some games still don't work - namely Wizardry 1 so far. After the intro screen, I just get a black screen. Ironically, when I had my Apple 2e, I couldn't get Wizardry to work then either! It would seem I'm doomed never to play it... :/

II, III, IV ? Could not reproduce this. Arc: I did not have that problems with Questron II either. Did you press "Save" button before changing disks ? I know there is a problem with half track accesses, maybe that's the reason.

to play Ultima yet. For some reason it doesn't recognize the Player Disk even though I've selected it and clicked 'insert'
