Snail Mail Troubleshooting ReportPanther 10.3 version fails to launch - Version: 1.5, 7/31/2006 07:08PM PST

I wonder if the Tiger 10.4 version was accidentally put out on the web for download? Prior versions of this program have been excellent.

Even though I use Tiger, I find the built-in envelope printing from Address Book to be insufficient for my needs. I want to be able to print with different envelope "styles" for business and personal use. After trying 5-6 of the available choices, I found Snail Mail to be far superior to the others. It's easy to use, allows excellent management of font formatting, including the return address. The only thing I found odd was how the boundaries are set for the addresses, which makes sense but at the same time feels unintuitive. Highly recommended for anyone who needs sophisticated envelope printing capabilities!

I have been having trouble getting Snail Mail (either 1.1 or 1.2) to print. The "print" button doesn't do anything. Printing from the drop down Menu brings up the usual print dialogue, but clicking on "Print" doesn't do anything either. Opening the Printer Setup for the designated printer shows that a file as not been spooled to print. This has been a wonderful, reliable application for many years. I don't fault the application, but it is currently the ONLY application on my G4 PowerBook that doesn't print. I would appreciate any help.

Snail Mail Developer NoteText, Fonts, Sizes, etc - Use 'Text Attributes' feature - Version: 0.6.8, 2/13/2006 02:03AM PST

Nixanz
For the previous two posts... If you want your font/size/style preferences to be remembered for more than one envelope, use the 'Text Attributes' feature to set default attributes for each field (if this doesn't work for you, email the developer). And... read the manual ;)

Snail Mail ReviewGreat App - Version: 0.6.8, 2/9/2006 11:21PM PST

This is a wonderful application. Does exactly what it says with no problems. My only cavil is that the font formatting drops when the envelope is closed. Really minor.
Thanks for the update.

Snail Mail ReviewSender address - Version: 0.6.7, 2/5/2006 11:24PM PST

I had great hopes for this program. It works well except that sender's address for type DL envelopes keeps reverting to 12 point. I would like it to stay at 9 point. Also the sender's address gets cropped on the left unless the ruler is adjusted manually. To print the way I want, it appears to me that I would have to reset these for every usage. - impractical. I look forward to the next version.

Snail Mail ReviewGreat Utility!! - Version: 0.6.6, 12/19/2005 11:09AM PST

Snail Mail has always worked great for me and really comes in handy for the Christmas Cards that looks better when the addresses are placed on the envelope in the proper place.

Although other feedbacks have said that it's intuitive, I found it only to be easy when I used the easy-to follow instructions. With the instructions, I could easily set different font defaults or to make new envelope sizes.

Thanks for the great utility ... and for the updates.
