Note that the upgrade works fine on PPC but invokes an error message on Intel equipped Mac

I have tried the other major gradebook programs, and as a data junkie I love the options EGP gives me. Fairly steep learning curve, but worth the investment of time. Months ago I emailed Orbis a couple of suggestions. Quite honestly I took their reply as rather defensive.
My main complaint is that when you set an assignment to display "Raw Scores" it doesn't necessarily do so. My elementary report card is on a 1-4 rubric. If I have an assignment with, say, 10 points, EGP will interpret my entering a grade of 4 as a direct grade entry of a 4 (or my highest grade) and gives it 10 points. The converse can happen to take points away from kids. I was able to work around this by putting a tilde symbol in front of each grade (~3 instead of 3) in the scale for each class. I would have appreciated their being more interested in this problem and perhaps exploring an option that allows direct entry of grades as well as one that is truly Raw Scores only.
I'm also annoyed by the lack of Preferences. I hate having to click a button EVERY time I quit EGP to tell it that I don't want to save a backup. I understand they are trying to protect people's data, but why not have a preference checkbox to either show or not show the backup option.
Other than that, I swear by the program.
