Doesn't work with Leopard - Version: 7.3.1, 11/11/2007 06:07PM PST

I can't seem to get this to work with Leopard. Depending on the method I use, either JAlbum will crash while creating the webpage, or it will fail with a NullPointerException. I'm not sure whether the problem lies with JAlbum or with Leopard's Java, but I hope it gets fixed soon. Luckily, I still have a Tiger disk I can boot into to run JAlbum.

THe new features sound great - a wonderful enhancement of a piece of software that I really woulnd't want to miss. When trying to download version 7.3. however, I got unpacked a dmg with version 7.2.1, which is already on my disk ...
One ofthe best web photo album software

I use JA for maintaining a professional photo library after trying many competitors.
Regular updates, good support, lots of skins and reliable operation for free!
I sent them $100 and think it is worth the cash.
Keep it up guys

I downloaded it and expanded it and got the "JAlbum-install" app, but it only *looks* like it launches. It doesn't actually *do* anything.

I downloaded JAlbum from their site. I loaded the app and everything was fine until I startd working on my website. Dreamweaver kept crashing, wasn't able to upload to my server and kept giving me errors about not having websites managed. I uninstalled it and now everythings fine?
Any suggestions?

I have been using Photosite Timesaviour for years and while it is still a great app, it is getting a little long in the tooth. JAlbum is a welcome alternative. I especially like how it creates links to the next/previous slides and index on the picture itself. The keyboard shortcuts are also cool.
Only a couple things I'd like to see:
One handy thing PSTS does that JAlbum doesn't yet is creates a thumbnail from Quicktime movies. Also, when using a picture as part of a folder icon, the picture is quite small, and only that part of the icon is clickable.
When arranging the pictures, which PSTS doesn't let you do, BTW, JAlbum seems to put any QT movie at the end, no matter where you put it in the layout.
When you are at the top level index, the "Up" button takes you too far up past the top index.
Otherwise, I couldn't be happier with this program. It really lets a person ignorant of HTML create a slick-looking thumbnail site. The price is right, too!

I have tried many photo album generators, and JAlbum is simply one of the best. It is easy to use (and is completely cross platform, running on Mac OS X, Windows, Linux, and others!) and has a large installed user base. It is actively supported, maintained, and developed by a full-time programmer. An active user forum exists.
Simply amazing...

This is one of those apps that is simply amazing--more amazing because it's free. If you haven't tried it, and need to publish to the web a photo album, portfolio pages, or anything with pictures (as well as accompanying text, titles, captions, etc...), then give it a try. Even if you don't want to publish to a website, still give it a try. It's a stunning piece of programming.
I'd say the results are great, but the soft is not really easy to use
