I read the other comments (warnings), but thought the worse of it I would have to go back and install the old version. I downloaded the update and ran the install app on the desktop. It updated techtool to 3.1.3 in less than a minute. Deleted all the stuff off the desktop and that was it. Could not have been easier. It shows 3.1.3 in my applications folder and runs just fine. I have a 20" imac running 4 gb of ram and os 10.6 freshly installed.

Bit of a mess this. Reported an error during installation and then said version 3.1.3 was installed when I tried again. At startup the application still warns about not being tested under OS 10.6, says application is 3.1.2, but under About in the menu it says 3.1.3! Oh well, not a very useful program anyway.
