Product Description:

Displays the user's schedule for the day as a Mac OS X Status Item (appearing as a system-wide menu in the right side of the menu bar). Event information is read from vCalendar files, like those written by Apple's iCal application. iCal or a similar vCalendar editor is required to produce and maintain the files, as MiCal only reads, and does nothing to create, the calendar information. The application name is pronounced "My Cal."

This version of MiCal is shareware, or nagware. Unregistered users have to manually refresh MiCal after making changes to their calendars in iCal. Registration now will cover through at least all 1.x versions.

The application displays the title and start time (or "All Day") of today's events, and optionally the name of the calendar each came from. Allows you to select what calendars will be displayed.

What's new in this version:

  • Compatible with Apple iCal 1.5.1
  • Minor bug fixes for some isolated recurring event types.
  • Preliminary Panther compatibility.

Known issues:
  • You cannot yet use a key equivalent (Command-V) to paste a registration key into the registration key text field on the Registration tab. You can, however, control-click or right-click the field and choose "Paste" from the popup menu.
  • Asian character display.
  • Somewhat rare issue with different timezones in your calendar files. See "Known Issues" in the Read Me for details.
  • Date display doesn't honor locale specific preferences in some locales.
  • Written to the "menu extra" API published by Apple rather than the "system menu" API which they have not made public. There are hacks I could do to produce a system menu, and I may still do this, but I have heard there are potential operating system stability issues with them and I am focused on system stability as a priority over being able to reorder the menu bar.
  • MiCal event parsing should get even more robust in future versions.
  • See Read Me file for other minor issues.

Operating System Requirements:

This product is designed to run on the following operating systems:

  • Mac OS X 10.3
  • Mac OS X 10.2
  • Mac OS X 10.1
  • Mac OS X 10.0

Additional Requirements:

  • Mac OS X 10.2 or higher
  • iCal

it's OK on Panther. Nice and useful.

But I purchased the SN almost 5days ago, and there's no SN yet.

Just hope there will be a SN someday.
