Product Description:

Once downloaded, double-click on the icon "Install" in the CJMX73L1 folder on your desktop. Please make sure your USB cable is connected to the Mac from the Lexmark X73. Your Lexmark X73 should be powered on and it should have paper loaded in the input tray (for the alignment page to print). Follow the on-screen instructions until restart has been completed. To start the application, go to your Mac OS X hard drive, then go to applications folder and find/click on the Lexmark X73 folder. This is where the application resides.

I installed this driver on my powerbook g4 1.5 gHz in order to print at my inlaws house. Terrible experience - I've had my machine freeze up regularly since then, with system processor usage pegged wide open. Though activity monitor did not register big usage out of the x73 software, I deleted it on a whim. Now my little aluminum friend is back up and kicking.

The point - if it is an issue of installing this driver on a powerbook or buying another printer - buy another printer

I just got my G5 and everytime I plugg the X73 to the USB port it hogs and does not print or copy, the only thing I can do with this is to Scann but nothing else.

Any Ideas how to make it work with Mac OS X 10.3.5????
