Linksys BEFW11S4 v1 Usage TipDNS Number - Version: 1.44.2, 2/17/2004 06:56PM PST

Billy Bob
I couldn't get my modem to recognize my puters until I set the modem to listen for requests from DNS 192.168.1.1 which is the device ID number for the Linksys router. Now the connection to the internet of my home network consisting of an iMac and a PC works just fine. The Linksys router is connected by a cable to the iMac. The PC has a Netgear USB wireless card that links that puter to the router. I'm using PC-Mac-Net Fileshare Lite to share files between the puters.

the bottom of the router, next to the serial number stickers, my router has v.2 after the model number printed on plastic shell itself.
