cantankerous
I'm not sure what marketing department cam3d and the other use works for within Epson, but this printer has been anything but plug/play for myself and my client. Bought it new, along with an iMac. Running 10.2.6... clean fresh install. Every time we send a print job, an error message that the print center lost communication with the printer -- no additional info available to troubleshoot. Installing the drivers for Classic permits any Classic application to print properly to the unit, so it is not a cable or hardware issue. This is definitely starting out as a dog. Epson's version of tech support is for us to snailmail a request in? How quaint. Why not an email tech support address, if nothing else? Until we can get a solution, life (and this model) sucks for 10.2.6. Reinstalls did not resolve our nightmare.

X 10.2.6, and just got my 5200. I installed ONLY the 5200 driver and EIC software from the CD. The included manual addendum told me to download Epson's TWAIN 5.75A to use instead of the TWAIN driver on the CD, but 5.75A indicates ONLY for use with 10.2 - 10.2.3 only. And the 5200 driver here (1.3dA) says it's only for 10.1.3 - 10.2.1 only. Epson provides no clarity. What do I need to install on 10.2.6 to properly scan and be able to use Image Capture? Thanks in advance to those in the know.

buy one cx3200 or cx5200, and all the opinions are very good. But I have a question: do somebody know if the drivers support (and support well) Jaguar? The product requeriments doesn't say nothing. Thanks!
