This application is the update to the version I bought a couple of years ago (Photorescue Wizard-2.1.686). It does what it is supposed to do- find/resurrect image files on digital media. I used it when my daughter's hard drive failed, and we still had many of the photos on the CF cards. Even though they had been 'deleted' and other images had been saved on the cards, the older images were still retrievable.

The only problem with PhotoRescue at that time was that it would quit on its own after it was finished. It was not a problem to re-launch it, but it was disconcerting.

Paying for it was a hassle. I cannot remember exactly what payment 'service' it was, but it was enough (of a hassle) that I would not want to have to go through that process again.

Warning - Purchasing this software provides a license valid for only 1 year.

After that time, you must pay again to be able to update.

As such, I would recommend that people DO NOT buy this program, and instead go and try any of the other photo rescue programs available.

This software is good, but being forced to pay every single year to be "licensed" is just rubbish and should not be encouraged or allowed.

You have been warned.
