Product Description:

A professional tool for in-depth security analysis of wireless networks. It is intended for both: administrators as well as persons, who are interested in finding networks.

What's new in this version:

KisMAC is finally compatible with 802.11g! This KisMAC release adds experimental support for Atheros based Cardbus/PCI cards. I also fixed a couple of bugs, but not as many as I would have liked to fix. The Atheros support has currently the following known problems:
  • only support for 10.3
  • no power management support
  • supports only FCC channels (1-11)
  • no support for 802.11a 5GHz band

Operating System Requirements:

This product is designed to run on the following operating systems:

  • Mac OS X 10.3
  • Mac OS X 10.2

Additional Requirements:

  • Mac OS X 10.2 or higher
    supported wireless card

KisMAC Review10.6 Snow Leopard BUG - Version: 0.2.99, 9/9/2009 03:06AM PST

This sort of runs under 10.6 but has one bug - namely channel number is always reported as the channel of the network you are on and NOT the actual channel.

better than stumbler that reports nothing though!
