Product Description:
Quinn is an implementation of the popular arcade game Tetris, written specifically for Mac OS X. It features a neat user interface, perfectly integrated with Aqua, and a smooth look and feel for best user enjoyment. The goal was not to reinvent Tetris with yet another modification of the rules, but to stick close to the original implementation. Still there's everything one might expect - including a personal highscore for each player, configurable keys, and network play with Bonjour support.
What's new in this version:
- Quinn servers that were removed from the online server list because of temporary communication problems now re-announce themselves when communication works again
- the “fine-tuning� of the multiplayer rules in v3.3 now applies to all rules, not only “Shake Up,� as it mistakenly did in earlier versions
- the game no longer ends when blocks are moved past the top edge due to rows being inserted from the bottom (the only reason for a game to end should be that no new piece can be spawned)
- fixed a bug which caused various problems after connecting to a server in an ongoing game, but not joining the game
- fixed an annoying display bug in the network drawer, which occurred in some situations where a player connected or disconnected during a game
- hopefully fixed a bug in v3.3 and v3.3.1 which under rare circumstances made servers crash after a client disconnected
- some more bug fixes

I've been playing Quinn for years and it has been being actively developed and supported throughout this time.
An excellent web-based tracking system (linked in the application) has been developed that allows players to easily find servers where they can join and compete against a number of opponents. With the newest version (3.4) there is also online highscore tracking, with many unique features that are a lot of fun to check out if you're a typical tetris-geek who likes looking at statistics. High scores are tracked, as well as high lpm (lines per minute). Also, the scores show averages for individual players and averages of all players in a country.
Game-play is the best I've seen for OS X, and I've been playing Tetris since it came out for NES so I'm picky about this stuff. The pieces rotate and drop just as expected. Graphics and animation are pleasant as well.
There are a couple minor graphic glitches (that don't effect game-play) in 3.4 that the developer is aware of. They will be fixed with a minor update very soon. You can read about the game development progress on the Quinn forum at the developer's website.
