I've been playing Quinn for years and it has been being actively developed and supported throughout this time.
An excellent web-based tracking system (linked in the application) has been developed that allows players to easily find servers where they can join and compete against a number of opponents. With the newest version (3.4) there is also online highscore tracking, with many unique features that are a lot of fun to check out if you're a typical tetris-geek who likes looking at statistics. High scores are tracked, as well as high lpm (lines per minute). Also, the scores show averages for individual players and averages of all players in a country.
Game-play is the best I've seen for OS X, and I've been playing Tetris since it came out for NES so I'm picky about this stuff. The pieces rotate and drop just as expected. Graphics and animation are pleasant as well.
There are a couple minor graphic glitches (that don't effect game-play) in 3.4 that the developer is aware of. They will be fixed with a minor update very soon. You can read about the game development progress on the Quinn forum at the developer's website.

This is a very good concentration building tool. And it looks very good, a perfect Mac OS X citizen. Game play is reliable and fast on my MacBook.
The legal unpleasantness connected to this game shows once more we have to abolish patents on concepts. You can sell code, binaries, but not ideas. If the Tetris Company would release an even slicker Mac OS X falling blocks game, I'd play it. Maybe I would even pay five euros for it. But Quinn is hard to beat, in the way it looks and in the way it works.
So there's a pretty picture for you. A company, whose only merit is having bought some patents, waving with pieces of paper and asking for your money on the one hand, and a wonderful game you can play right now without paying a cent on the other. Pick one!

Crashing - Version: 2.0.2, 7/5/2006 06:01AM PST

Have used and loved 2.0.2. Recently downloaded 3.3.2. Ever after downloading latest version, the 2.0.2 version (which I actually prefer) crashes at end of play, so I get no score and score is not recorded apparently. Plus, also 3.3.2 crashed at end of play.
I deleted 3.3.2. But 2.0.2 still crashes.
What should I do to solve this problem?
Thanks,
cb

A great tetris clone, and the multiplayer experience is tremendous. I too would like it if the network drawer were resizable, but I must commend you on a terrific game. Keep up the updates, we really appreciate it!
Freezes A Lot
