Product Description:
SerialMailer is an efficient and easy to use tool for companies and individuals who want to communicate with a large group of customers, friends or other e-mail contacts without having to rewrite the mail for each person.
The message is automatically personalized by SerialMailer using the integrated database editor. The group of recipients may be individually filtered to only send the message to a limited group of recipients.
You can either use SerialMailer's built-in smtp client or use AppleMail/Entourage to deliver the created mails.

Regardless of what someone might have said this is a very useful tool for emailing groups of friends or clients. I honestly think that spammers would find easier ways to send out their crap than using such a small and unassuming program like this and most isps will stop you sending more than 50 or 100 emails at a time anyway.
why not just ban computers altogether then there would be no spam !
A much better idea would be to fine the people who advertise with the spammers - take away the clients - end the business

This appears to be nothing more than a SPAM creator. If so, it should be banned by Versiontracker. SPAM is not just annoying, it negatively affects the Internet as a whole.

Firstly, my recipients database was too big and made the app crash (+-1000 email adresses). then the internal mail server kept on returning errors. It rapidly became unusable.
I'm now looking into setting up my own smtp server on my Mac but that is not why I paid for this app.
