Regardless of what someone might have said this is a very useful tool for emailing groups of friends or clients. I honestly think that spammers would find easier ways to send out their crap than using such a small and unassuming program like this and most isps will stop you sending more than 50 or 100 emails at a time anyway.
why not just ban computers altogether then there would be no spam !
A much better idea would be to fine the people who advertise with the spammers - take away the clients - end the business

This appears to be nothing more than a SPAM creator. If so, it should be banned by Versiontracker. SPAM is not just annoying, it negatively affects the Internet as a whole.

Fit for purpose and a responsive developer.

I think this is a good product. I use it quite often and find it fairly intuitive to get going with in the beginning. Some things still need a bit of work however - for instance, if you enter the wrong SMTP server details and try to send mail it can hangs and when you click the cancel button nothing happens - which leads you to a force quite situation.
Despite these kind of rough edges I still think it's a great piece of software with a future, certainly the best of it's kind / in it's price range for the Mac.

The testdrive convinced me, i wanted to pay - and the payment company gladly received my payment via PayPal and sent a message to me there was some error in the communication between PayPal and them and they will look for it the next business day.
That´s such a stupid nonsense - i need the program NOW, not the next business day. Will go on searching for some other program that really DOES the job and not just takes the money.
That´s a bit sad for the author of the software - did a good job, but payment doesn´t work.

This product helped me communicate with more than ninety students this past semester. I could send them individualized emails with feedback and grades for their work. How? SerialMailer not only lets you import groups from AddressBook, but it permits you to import tab-separated text files. I simply exported the relevant data from my FileMaker database and imported it into SerialMailer. SerialMailer lets you compose messages with fields from your database as well as conditional fields. The only drawback: no individual attacchments. You either send everyone the same attachment or you send no one an attachment.

My PC friends are kinda pissed that I can send personalized email with graphics to 250 of my closest friends in a few minutes. If you have a Mac and you send email to more than a handful of people, this is the way to go.
Firstly, my recipients database was too big and made the app crash (+-1000 email adresses). then the internal mail server kept on returning errors. It rapidly became unusable.
I'm now looking into setting up my own smtp server on my Mac but that is not why I paid for this app.
