Product Description:

iWebCal is a Web-based service that allows you to publish and view iCal calendars (vCalendars) on the Web, without a .Mac subscription, a WebDAV server, Web publishing experience, iCal, or even a Mac. All you need to publish your calendar is somewhere to post it on the Web. All you need to view it is a Web browser. iWebCal gives you a permanent URL for your calendar that you can send to your friends or co-workers. The source code to iWebCal is also available to run on your own Web server.

What's new in this version:

  • Fixed a bug that caused some repeating events to show up on the day after they should have stopped repeating. The fix is time-zone based and the vCalendar and PHP time zone handling don't get along very well, so additional data about time zones and daylight savings time may be required to correct the problem in all cases.
  • Fixed a problem where weekly repeating events were sometimes appearing on the wrong days.
  • Fixed a bug that caused some events to be drawn on top of each other, due to incorrect sorting in Calendar::getDayLayout.
  • Added $iWebCal_CALENDAR_LIFETIME so that calendars will expire after a period of inactivity (even if the browser is not quit). This allows calendar updates to be reflected properly for users who rarely quit their browsers.
  • Fixed some calendar file parsing code so it handles whitespace properly. Most notably, this results in better display of event details.
  • Corrected some parse errors, most notably one that prevented event details from displaying.

iWebCal Troubleshooting Reportics file?? - Version: 2.0b3, 7/27/2005 07:40PM PST

I can't find the .ics file in Tiger where is it? Also it would be nice to have the option to export it right though iCal itself, like iPhototoGallery does.

iWebCal ReviewReplacement for PHP iCalendar? - Version: 2.0b2, 4/15/2005 09:34AM PST

I have been using PHP iCalendar for a couple of years now to publish a school calendar. The sourceforge page is offline and has been for quite a while. So I am looking for an alternative.

This is a nice start, and it took about five minutes to download, configure and install. But it lacks many functions of PHP iCalendar. For one, the details don't work. That's pretty important for my needs.

Here are the two calendars for comparison, bearing in mind that I heavily customized the first.

iWebCal CommentaryProblem moving beyond initial view - Version: 1.1, 1/16/2004 09:33PM PST

When I configure iWebCal to look at a calendar, I get the month view of the current date, but none of the navigation buttons work... can't go to any other month or date, nor view notes, etc. The request with a new URL seems be sent, but no error messages appear... just get a refresh with the same view I started with. Any thoughts or advice would be welcomed. Using Safari under 10.3.2.
