PrintCapture Reviewproblems - Version: 4.18b, 9/8/2005 04:55PM PST

Note that PrintCapture does not automatically log prints to non-PostScript printers (you can generate a manual log). These are often the color or oversize prints, so this is an important consideration for a graphics business.

We also had network difficulties because the PrintCapture Manager requires a fixed IP address, but does not recognize Mac machine names--only the TCP address. This became a problem with the DHCP addressing used by our Internet provider.

Tech response from CaptureWorks was sometimes slow and inconsistent.

We have used PrintCapture since 2003, and various other packages (under OS 9) before that. PrintCapture is the only one we had consistent problems with.

PrintCapture ReviewBy far the best - Version: 4.18b, 7/1/2005 01:57PM PST

ExtremelyCorrect
We've been using PrintCapture since 2004 and it's made a huge amount of money for my company. I just saw "sixcolors" comments and so was intrigued by X2's comment only to find "sixcolors" works for X2 and is just spamming VersionTracker with hype. I noticed that X2 had only one 5 star reviewer over and over again..."sixcolors". PrintCapture so intensely blows that piece of lameware away it's truly comical!

I was confused and could not get it to work. It's admittedly better than Argos (which is a huge pile of crap) however X2 Print Accounting is probably the best.

Don't waste your time!
