KGA Golf ReviewOld School Fun - Version: 1.3, 9/4/2008 04:14PM PST

A very simple golf game, but also very fun. The built in course editor is nice, I've made some pretty wacky holes with it!

KGA Golf Reviewit's *totally* ghetto - Version: 1.2.6, 6/3/2005 05:43PM PST

plaintiger

...at least compared to (what used to be) the state of the art for golf games. damn - the golf game i used to play on my Performa 475 when that was a fairly current machine was way more sophisticated than this. *however*: i don't think this game aspires to be some graphically amazing thing from some big software company; it just aspires to be a fun golf game, and in my brief experience, that's what it is. 1.2.6 has been quite well-behaved on my dual 1.25 GHz G4 running 10.4.1, and it has been fun. and the nag dialogs are quite charming; i'd miss them if i paid for the game. well, okay: i wouldn't miss their popping up all unbidden to nag me. but i would miss what they say.

but i'm not going to buy the game, just because it's not what i'm looking for in a golf game; i'm looking for one of those fairly realistic ones that make me feel like i'm on a golf course (i'm talking, not a bird's-eye view situation). i like that feeling of *being* there, and this game doesn't feel like i'm there; it feels like i'm playing a computer golf game. it does what it does really well; what it does just doesn't happen to be what i want.

unfortunately, i don't know that what i want *exists* for the Mac any more. to look at versiontracker, it appears that it doesn't. waaaah.

KGA Golf Reviewfun little game, good developer - Version: 1.2.5, 8/5/2004 11:17AM PST

This is a fun game to waste a few minutes. The fact that the developer keeps releasing new, better versions long after the initial release is great.
