Product Description:

MP3Bar wraps the UNIX mpg123 tool, which allows you to play MP3 files with a small CPU footprint. Adds a menu to your menu bar with the standard functions, and allows you to compile a custom playlist. Source code is also available from www.myndlinksw.com.

Starts iTunes every time I open it! - Version: 1.05, 6/4/2007 12:22AM PST

What's the point of this? Every time I open it, it hogs my cpu by automatically starting iTunes. If I wanted to use iTunes, I wouldn't have downloaded MP3bar. Absurd. I'll stick with Mac Amp Lite.

Thanks for this small and simple app.

Very useful for my G3 Mac. Now I can work listening my MP3 without a notable loss of performance. The iTunes take about 20% of my processor!

I have a suggestion: What about a controls (Play, Pause, Stop) on the bar? The program would have this option.

Beautifully simple on my Mac running Panther 10.3.8.

Playlist window is simple and highly readable, I love the subtle row coloring. The "mp3" toolbar when the app is open is also very convenient.

Thank you! I wish this program would get re-listed, as this program deserves more and I'm positive others would appreciate its simplicity and low cpu usage over iTunes.
