I purchased the license for this, and I generally like it. I think this is a solid foundation for what could be a great app. As I mostly purchase income stocks, it would be great if a dividend reinvestment tool could be added.

It looks like "made in Germany" is a quality proof in software business too.
This software made a very positive evolution during the last month when it was acquired by danholt4mac.

I filed a bug report about iStock not accepting fractional shares (i.e., share < 1, as some of my DRIPs buy). About a week later, the fix is made. Excellent!
StockManger for Mac OS? - Version: 1.5, 10/3/2008 05:33AM PST

I like the new options, but the ability to add dividends, incremental buys/sells, and notes (for explaining the company) that appear in the Info window would make this even better.
The price is down, which is nice, too!

Good but could be better - Version: 1.3.3, 7/17/2008 05:37AM PST

For $15, I think this program has been a reasonably good buy. It will track your stocks, create charts, allow multiple portfolios, and even track currencies (nifty!). However, it could be even better if users could:
1) add their individual stocks' dividends (as a preference even)
2) add a note column (e.g., to remind yourself what the company's core business is)
3) incrementally add share buys (instead of having to recalculate the whole cost-basis following the 20 more shares you just bought)
Basically I want the Palm OS program StockManager on the Mac ;-)

I am delighted to find a program that easily creates share portfolios that provides the most needed data and showing percentage total changes with graphical performance charts over various time periods. Easy to set up with an elegant interface.
However, I have given up on iStock because today I found that my half of my portfolios had disappeared! Thankfully, the individual stocks are still in the general list. But, I have permanently lost all information about date of purchase, price, etc.
Be careful if you are relying on iStock to track your stocks!
