As for the previous reviewer I cannot try this out since I once had apparently tried out a previous version

wmsy says he removed this restriction in V1.2.2 but apparently put it back in 1.7.1

While I don't use iPhoto this app clearly has many advantages over it, especially in terms of flexibility. I can't see, however, that it can compete with my present use of GraphicConverter with Photoshop. I considered it as a replacement for GraphicConverter (and a file browser CM I use), but it falls a bit short. The price is good, however, and I think anyone that isn't seriously interested in progressing beyond a better iPhoto to Photoshop Elements or Photoshop, would do better to find a simple file browser and use GraphicConverter (which does a good deal more than convert file formats; a feature i rarely even useL) I'm tempted to give this a 5 when compared to iPhoto, but think I'll settle on a 4. App seems very stable, btw, on a G5 DP 2GHz with 10.2.8.

... i hoped this could be my final image viewer/organising app;

iPhoto is pretty OK, but doesn't offer real folder browsing
Curator was cool too, but lacked lot's of features needed, and is undeveloped now :(
gBrowser is very interesting too, but a tad slow...

Photologist unfortunately isn't really system conform imo (ugly marble windows!), no toolbar editing possible, too much seperate windows, too few config options ... It's a promising product, though and i'll be monitoring it's progress...
