SSH Tunnel Manger 1.0.3 - Version: 1.0.3, 9/21/2007 06:50PM PST

Have been using SSH Tunnel Manager 1.0.3 successfully to access proxy server. If I upgrade to Tiger (currently using Panther) will 1.0.3 work? If not what would you suggest?
Doesn't Work For Me...Went Back to V1.0.3

I've always liked this app. Thanks to Yann for developing it.
I've used v1.0.3 for a few years, and it's been very helpful, in spite of a few quirks. I access a number of machines with up to 18 tunnels per connection. I recently upgraded to 2b3, and have not been able to use it at all. It does not save any tunnels in the preference file when I quit. Also, with V1.0.3, I could use BBEdit to manage the .plist using XML, since entering the tunnels wouldn't always work well. The v2b3 .plist cannot be read by BBEdit.
I reinstalled v1.0.3, and hope that a new version will address the problems.

This is a great program idea with a nicely laid out interface, but its just not done yet. It works really well with only one host, but if you have multiple hosts and do some adding/removing of local and/or remote info, then you start seeing weird behavior - like the connection parameters hop from one host to another. Too bad the programmer never finished it, because its on the way to being great.
Not so good

As stated in a previous review, it could use an SSH Agent to autenticate, but haves an option to handle the authentication externally, so that's no problem.
My problem has been with System hogs in Tiger. Since three days ago my computer freezed the momment I started a tunneled MySQL connection. I tried changing the MySQL client to no avail, so I am now tunneling with SSH Agent. It's less user friendly, but I have no problemas at all with it.

Works well, easy to use

I picked this up to make my Timbuktu sessions more secure while I'm on the road. It was easy to set up and easy to use.

Howdy:
Apparently v.2b3 does not read v.1.x settings file ( at least for me on OSX 10.3.8, 12" PB 867 mHz ). Having to re-setup all my tunnels will be a major pain.
Also, I noticed that there is an option in the new version to open the tunnels on application launch. This is handy, but would be much handier if we could select which specific tunnels to open. I have numerous ones, only a few of which I use regularly ( mainly mail ), the others I launch as needed.
Otherwise, great tool, I depend on v.1.0.3 daily.

Works well, but needs SSH-Agent support - Version: 2.0b3, 11/5/2004 09:56AM PST

It's easier than typing in the ssh -NfL blah blah blah at the command line, but without SSH-Agent support, it's not as convenient. I suggest using SSH Keychain, which has built-in tunnel creation support, and as it's primary function, loads DSA/RSA keys into the SSH-Agent automatically: http://www.sshkeychain.org/

Hi, thanks for the need tool. I would like to suggest another need feature:
Cooperation with SSH AGENT, this would give the user the coinvienience that she/he does not have to type retype the passphrase for ssh keys.
Thanks, JJ

Won't run on Jag 10.2.8/Wallstreet PB - Version: 2.0b3, 8/26/2004 10:38AM PST

I'd like to try using this to create an SSH tunnel to run AFP through. I works ok on Panther 10.3.5, but on Jag 10.2.8 the tunnel window won't open when I press the configuration button.
