iTV ReviewFunctional with STB / 3DFX DesktopTV - Version: 0.4, 2/19/2006 12:17PM PST

toasis2000
Good start, buggy channel editor and saving function. The Automatic Scan as stated in the documentation did find redundant channels, but also excluded channels that I had to tune into manually with Scan (not Autoscan). Trying to Delete Channels from the channel editor doesn't switch to the new frequency on the TV, so you have to actually switch channels to see the result, otherwise you'll end up deleting a bunch of channels that you didn't want to. Unable to save channel list so I'd say that functionality is currently broken. Also would be nice if there is a way to get sound from the card through PCI bus, if possible depending on card? I know my AlchemyTV tuner card can do this, not sure if the STB one can. Anyway good work and look forward to future revisions!

iTV Reviewthis works great on Mac G4 on ProTV II! - Version: 0.4, 1/31/2006 05:29AM PST

yohno
This works fine on my Mac with ProTV II. The system is 10.4.4.
It is very easy to configure and I like it very much. I was a user of ProTV Beta with Formac Studio VTR, whcih is not the supported environent.

To those who own ProTV II card, please try and enjoy.

PS,
I am not succeeding yet to listen FM through this. If someone confirms this functionality, please give your feedback. Thanks.

iTV ReviewWorks Great with ProTVII and Panther... - Version: 0.3.1, 4/20/2004 12:01PM PST

but it´s hard to get run. The driver must be loaded by terminal after every systemboot like the versions before, but this just takes half a minute. There is a script coming with the itv 0.1 driver which is helpfull, it is called "lk.sh" (http://home.arcor.de/a.thiede/). This script i put inside the itv 0.3 Folder. The itv folder should be inside the Userfolder (like library, music etc.) and named "itv". Open terminal and type "cd itv", than "./lk.sh", after the password the driver will be loaded. The first start i have always to quit hard, but than it´s running for hours, days, with full screen and everythink. One more think: the preferences are more than sensible. After successfully searching the channels lock the prefs.
