Yes, finally this version works in Safari for me. No more blank pages. Works on intel macbook and g5 iMac. The scanner software works great now too.

Before this driver version I was having similar problems (ie - multiple blank pages with just a little bit printed on each of them).
I downloaded this on both an iBook G4 12" 1.33 GHz and a G5 2GHz dual processor and both seem to be working fine. Both computers are running OS version 10.4.8
Thanks!

I know, I know - it's hard to believe, but it seems that the blank page issue has been FINALLY resolved with this latest 7.9 update. If this was the ONLY problem you were having with previous updates, then it seems to be fixed. I can't speak to other problems - I was only having the blank page spitting issue.
But - it looks good to me!

In looking at previous posts this concurs with my experience using an OfficeJet G85—I love HP hardware but HP software for the Mac stinks.
Still won't work with Safari

Ok, so I took the time to download and install the "NEW" driver for my 2175 psc and STILL they did not fix the bug with Safari. At first it wouldn't even print, it just spit out 4 blank pages. So I reset the printer and now it does the same as it always has. It spits out four or five blanks and then prints the webpage. You would think that if HP would make a driver for the MAC that they would fix this ever present bug in the software!? This is a nice printer but not for use with the Mac. I do like the HP Email Portal and some of their photo software is cool.

Just as with the previous driver, this driver continues to print out blank pages between pages in multi-page documents.
Does not work - it is EXTREMELY annoying to have to go back and uninstall this driver and find the old driver to use.
Not good -

Updates making this excellent product work on the latest OS X versions have been available on HP's support site for a while.
Everything's working fine and - contrary to some previous comments here - it's all very much "Mac"-like.
Never had a single problem.

Unforgivably poor usability for such a widely-known company

I've been shocked at how poorly implemented and non-Mac-like the HP software is ever since I bought a 2100 a couple of years ago. I keep thinking that HP will improve the software with each update, but I guess I'm fooling myself. No wonder HP is doing so badly... I wish I'd gone with the Epson AIO.

Tried to download driver v.6.3.4 from HP web site - 1k per second on a DSL connection that easily and often gets over 80k (sometimes even 100k) per second (this with the Safari 1.2.3 (v125.9) included in Mac OS X 10.3.5! Unacceptable! Their page only mentions Safari users need to turn off "open safe files after downloading" (which was already done in my case), no other "technical issues".
Ripped FTP address from download page, inserted into Terminal FTP program, was done in 5 minutes flat! At 85k per second.
