Product Description:

Corrects directory permissions that interfere with printing. Problem - print jobs are spooled and do not print. If you have the previous 2.0 installation working, or if you are upgrading from 1.4.1to 2.0f, you do not need this patch. If you are upgrading from any version of 2.0 you need this patch.

Operating System Requirements:

This product is designed to run on the following operating systems:

  • Mac OS X 10.2
  • Mac OS X 10.1

Additional Requirements:

  • Mac OS X 10.1 or later
  • HP DeskJet 2.0-2.0e

Editor's Notes:

Needed if you are upgrading from any 2.0 version of the HP DeskJet drivers.

I'm here now because I've just got done ranting on the commentary for 'HP Deskjet 2.5'.

Here at versiontracker, they're listing a Mac OS X driver (the one noted above), but nowhere on HP's site can I find the driver for OS X. What gives? Am I supposed to use this patch, and if so, am I supposed to use it before or after I install the 'HP Deskjet 2.5' dealie?

Any help would be appreciated, dsilvan@comcast.net

-- i emailed hp about it & they said they were aware of the problem -- and so is my printer. i was amazed at the fast response from hp tech help. an actual human emailed me back w/in 3 hours.
