LiSA CommentaryDST change trips it up - Version: 3.02T, 4/22/2007 02:17PM PST

The hourly announcement is now off by an hour, so at 5PM it announces it's 4 PM. What was reassuring is now contrary.

LiSA Troubleshooting ReportSame problem as Steve Riggins at 08-17-04 11:13AM - Version: 3.02, 11/22/2004 12:08PM PST

Pappagallo_14
Hi!

As on Steve's computer, LiSA first showed an error, when it wanted to connect to my eMail account. When I relaunched the application afterwards, the Status bar showed "ok". However, nothing happened. I use OS X Panther (latest version). In addition, software especially Java (1.4.2) is up to date. I use a yahoo account (pop3 is possible) and check my emails with MS Entourage.

Can anyone help?

Many Thans!

LiSA ReviewOutstanding Application! - Version: 3.02, 10/13/2004 10:18PM PST

I have been using LiSA for 2 years now without one problem. it absolutely is one of the best add on software programs I've allowed onto my Mac. Sometimes I just don't want to leave my email program open or I tend to be in the next room. In either of those instances, LiSA announces my arriving mail thru my speaker system and lets me know when I'm needed or wanted. I have been a believer and user for a long time and I am PATIENTLY awaiting the next release which will finally incorporate 3 different email addresses into one application. As it stands now, I have several emails and I use a workaround that the author suggested: I made 2 duplicates of the application folder. I use all 3 LiSA's at the same time but each one is responsible for a different email name to monitor. It requires having 3 LiSA's open and running at once but well worth it. You'd think with an app like this you'd run into conflicts having something like that configured, right? Wrong! All 3 work like a charm and that is a compliment to LiSA's coding and brilliant authors. That being said, I am a bit tired of having to keep all 3 around so I do look forward to that wonderful upgrade where it will only take ONE LiSA application to check and monitor all 3 emails! Who am I kidding, though? I'll still probably run multiple LiSA's because I have at least 6 addresses to keep an eye on and soon I'll be able to do it all! So yes, this is a rock solid app that is very functional, desirable, and down right fun.

LiSA ReviewDisabled Computer Engineer - Version: 3.02, 8/17/2004 04:17PM PST

macman60
This product is great whether you’re disabled, or not it is nice to have an all around product that recognizes your Address Book, Palm, Mail etc. to let you know if you have a reply or a new email and being able to adjust your Prefs. So it will not read any spam, but just your Address Book entry is another fine feature. This new version is what you need and then some. As an Engineer I highly recommend this product for the novice and the advanced as though I said above disabled, or not this is a must have! Thanks for the hard work! Michael

LiSA Troubleshooting ReportDoes nothing - Version: 3.02, 8/17/2004 11:13AM PST

Steve Riggins
At first, it gave me nothing but errors trying to log into my email server. So I quit Lisa and relaucnched. Now no errors, but it just doesn't do anything. Java, blech.

LiSA Troubleshooting ReportCannot install! - Version: 3.02, 8/16/2004 03:04PM PST

Never heard of this app before, but I have now & it looks great (here on these pages). Trouble is, running the installer lasts approx 0.25 secs before it instantly quits, ie it doesn't even *think* about wanting to install. Checked developer's site for help - none specific to this issue - but found there's an install-it-yourself version. Downloaded that, a folder full of files I've no clue what to do with :-( I'd really like to try this app - has anyone succesfully downloaded & installed v3.02?!

LiSA ReviewYour must-have app - Version: 3.01, 8/14/2004 08:43PM PST

jeje521
If you use your computer daily this is the only application you should ensure you have. A lovely female British voice makes simple announcements of who sent your e-mail, and the hourly time, never sounded so lusty. And FYI, the customer service at LiSA is as exemplary as the application. Have a question? You'll likely be written by the developer, a true rarity these days. Three words: check it out.

LiSA ReviewLiSA - Version: 3.01, 8/4/2004 12:10PM PST

Makes my Mac even sexier. I always wanted the AOL "You've Got Mail" announcement on my .mac account but couldn't track down a mac compatible download. So instead I used the glass "tink" sound... Yawn. I did so want a voice...

Then I discovered LiSA, whose voice is so real she has my Mother answering when my Mac says "Good Morning". I love the fact you can choose the annoncement each person in your address book will receive. Makes getting e-mails fun again!

Received notice of above. Website now carries no mention of LiSA. Haven't tried to download yet as mine works fine.
