MidiKeys CommentaryChords - Version: 1.7b1, 10/15/2009 11:15PM PST

I second the "chord input" comment . . . . a 1-key chord (variable by major, minor, etc) would be a huge help . . . . I checked out MIDI Keyboard 1.7 and theirs works well (although I can't get Logic 8 Express to receive the input . . . )

Hi, I'd like to suggest you implement a chord input function. I used to use a similar program for os9, called caps2midi I believe, and even though I always have an actual midi controller keyboard hooked up, I used the caps2midi program to play around with chords quickly and easily.

Great to make a few notes with GarageBand on a laptop. Works perfectly in Panther.

MidiKeys ReviewHandy! - Version: 1.6b3, 5/17/2004 03:14PM PST

This is the best way I've found to play without peripherals, and it makes adding notes in Reason and Garageband a piece of cake. Indespensible!

MidiKeys ReviewVery nice. Works great with GarageBand! - Version: 1.6b3, 1/31/2004 12:07AM PST

To the other commenters: Look in preferences. There are "on top" and "global keys" options (the latter requires you to hold down the "Ctrl" or other modifier key while playing in GarageBand, but still ... it works!)

Very nice way to play around with GarageBand while I don't have a keyboard hooked up to my Mac ...

Garage Band does not show up by name in Midikeys, but it works nonetheless.

MidiKeys CommentaryHow to freeze Panther in 3 steps ? - Version: 1.6b3, 1/19/2004 02:47PM PST

[PTX]
1-Check IAC Driver in "Destination" menu.
2-Check IAC Driver in "Port to listen" menu.
3-Check the checkbox "Thru".

Panther is frozen. You must reset your computer. Thanks to the developper !

MidiKeys ReviewWhy does it have to be the "active" app? - Version: 1.6b3, 12/1/2003 02:59PM PST

This is a nice app. But what would be even better would be it playing, for example reason, while in the background. this way, i can tweak reason knobs while hitting notes and hearing my results instead of going back and forth between reason and midi keys.

another nice feature would be allowing me to build my own keyboard map.

great job.
