I actually like the über-simplicity of this app. I thought it needed more options, but now I think super simple is super good.

Great job! It would be complete with folders. There are too many files in the utilities folder to put into the Tiger Icon. When it gets folders I'll use it. Going back to my favorites folder in the Dock.

Simple little app that works great! The only thing that would be nice is to be able to organize the applications into different groups or folders.
Highly recommended!

This is what I dreamt of having on my Panther, as I am not too crash hot about the dock. I love lists, and that makes alphabetical sense. A few things however I would like to have in the upcoming upgrades, not that it is 100 percent essential, but with it, it'll help me organise a bit better.
1) Have horizontal dotted line dividers
This will be immensely helpful and add headings also, so the user can divide, web stuff from design, utliitlies, projects etc.
2) Custom font size and color
The smaller the better the vertical real estate, as most of you would have a long list of apps so less scrolling, and friendlier.
3) Draggable files onto appz.
Based on what file one drags, the appropriate apps will highlight when one rolls over the Tiger menu icon... right now, I have to open the software first. Not all files you would want to have the same software opened. Like tiff or jpeg I have at least 3 -4 types of software I would jump to and from, time to time.
4) Recent files.
This is good when some software is not opened up and you might want to revisit the file. Yes, one good thing from OS9.
5) Back in the dock
Could it move into the dock as an option? It'll be so great to have this and turned upside down so the menu pops up from the dock on rollover. This is a good position as users can focus always on one area of the screen to open files.
Thanks for this good software, made my powerbook life so much more refreshing. One buggy thing is that I love the pop up icons of the different tigers on the configure window. other than that, you guys are doing a splendid job.

and it only gets better when you make duplicates. I now have multiple tigers in my menu. One for internetapps, one for design, one for... whatever you like.
[just open up the application and change the com.ranchero.TigerLaunch in your Info.plist to your newly created copy] works great!

Works fine with 1.25GHz

I tried it with my old 400MHz G3 but it was to slow (so I used an Alias folder in the Dock). Now it's the best way for not-so-often-used apps. Thanks for nice freeware!
Well done!

Wonderful Pig
This is a nice utility for those who miss the motif style menu present in most desktop GUIs today.
Only noticed one (very minor) bug so far - print utility shows up twice.
Requests for future versions:
1. Please allow us to configure directories. I do not do any programming, but I have the developer tools installed in order to allow fink to compile. It would be nice to be able to remove the Developer directory in one go.
2. Please add the ability for grouping, a la bookmarks.
Also, you might consider integrating some of the code from an abandoned open source project called QuickerPicker.

I wish I'd found this sooner! Saves so much time instead of fishing around in the Applications folder, and my Dock is much neater now! :)
Mmmmm... now all I need is a cinema display to accomodate all of these little icons in the taskbar - they seem to be breeding!
