Product Description:

Take Transmit, our long standing, very Mac-like FTP / SFTP client. Then, add a ton of new features, including column view, tabs, a sidebar, new favorites, search, dock status, spring loaded folders, iDisk and WebDAV support, and much more.

The end result? We think it's the ultimate Mac FTP client, with more innovative features than anywhere else, and it makes FTP as simple, easy, and fun as, well, the Mac!

What's new in this version:

  • Transmit no longer stalls the UI when deleting files in S3
  • Fixed a potential issue that caused TransmitSync to crash occasionally on new installs
  • Moved Transmit's Automator actions to the "Internet" category under 10.5
  • Fixed a possible incorrect report of "Error -197."
  • No longer have to manually refresh to make deleted buckets disappear under Amazon S3
  • Remote items can now be more accurately moved to a folder with a Japanese name
  • IIS/SharePoint WebDAV servers now properly display filenames with spaces
  • "Merge Conflicting Folders" behavior works more reliably in all situations
  • Fixed a WebDAV bug that caused the download conflict panel to show incorrectly escaped filenames
  • WebDAV Automator actions no longer fail in some situations
  • Decreased memory footprint for multiple-file S3 transfers
  • Fixed a display issue with buttons in the queue window
  • Tooltips now show correctly in all cases in the sync activity report sheet
  • "New file" now works both locally and remotely when running in French
  • Filenames are no longer jumbled when a Japanese file moves to a parent
  • Fixed an issue that caused a directory's name to be reverted after renaming then clicking "back"
  • Fixed some problems when double-clicking .exportedFavorites files
  • Added the ability to undo sorting favorites by name by clicking a second time on the column header
  • Fixed a potential crash when replacing an existing local item using the "Move..." contextual item
  • Added a more explicit warning when syncing over your home folder
  • Fixed a problem that prevented droplets from working when the password contained double quotes
  • Can now double click on ".transmitBackup" files to import them

Transmit Reviewexcellent ftp software - Version: 3.6.9, 11/17/2009 07:32AM PST

I keep trying other ftp software over the years, some free and some not, but this consistently has the fewest issues. It is also the only ftp software I've used that does not freak out over or hide files that have unicode text file names (Japanese).

Coming from Windows two years ago to Macs...I needed a dependable FTP client. I left Voyager and Transmit took it's place.

Awesome program!
