Product Description:

Take Transmit, our long standing, very Mac-like FTP / SFTP client. Then, add a ton of new features, including column view, tabs, a sidebar, new favorites, search, dock status, spring loaded folders, iDisk and WebDAV support, and much more.

The end result? We think it's the ultimate Mac FTP client, with more innovative features than anywhere else, and it makes FTP as simple, easy, and fun as, well, the Mac!

What's new in this version:

New Features
  • Amazon S3 Support — upload, download, manage your Amazon S3 storage, Transmit-style
  • Copy URL/Web Preview — by adding a "Root URL" to a favorite, you can easily "Copy" full web URLs for remote items, or preview them in your browser
Fixes and Improvements
  • URLs now copied without login info by default, including dragging favorites to desktop
  • .htaccess can now be added to the list of known ASCII file types
  • Fixed problem that caused Transmit to hang in the background for some users
  • “Download Filesâ€? Automator action now has a destination field
  • “Simulation Modeâ€? setting for sync is now remembered across syncs
  • Fixed file browser scroll bar position being set incorrectly after certain file operations
  • Fixed parsing of directory listings where the file’s group is set to “Domain Usersâ€?
  • No longer send LIST -a to Windows servers because many don’t understand it
  • Fixed inability to import Transmit 1.x favorites on Intel Macs
  • Improved handling of SFTP servers that say “Permission deniedâ€? when they mean “File not foundâ€? on rename operations
  • Download mirror sync now moves files to trash instead of deleting them
  • Improved behavior of connection panel if you try to type an “ftp://â€? URL into it
  • Now avoids auto-changing permissions on file uploads if the file appears to already have the desired permissions
  • “Move Toâ€? contextual menu item now enables for local items
  • Fixed display bug when many items are added to sync skip list
  • Added .rxml and .rhtml to default ASCII file extensions
  • Fixed “File already existsâ€? error when renaming a folder with a name that exists in the parent folder AND browser is in list view (SFTP)
  • WebDAV now defaults to UTF-8 for file names rather than ISO-Latin-1
  • “Linked Folder Navigationâ€? preference no longer gets out of sync when changed in multiple favorites
  • Trying to download into a read-only location now displays an error
  • Fixed bug where “Download Filesâ€? Automator action would not return list of downloaded files to the next action
  • Path fields in Get Info window are now selectable
  • Fixed crash when connecting to favorite in cloned window
  • WebDAV no longer re-escapes filenames when saving edited files back to the server
  • Fixed TLS incompatibility with Filezilla
  • Added headers to WebDAV verbose logging
  • WebDAV now understands lowercase letters in escaped filenames
  • Fixed problem creating new invisible remote files when “Show Invisible Filesâ€? is off
  • Fixed problem editing files inside a folder after repeatedly renaming the folder
  • “Transfer completeâ€? sound no longer plays for each file in a sync
  • Fixed problem with file browser selection after using cmd-down-arrow shortcut
  • Local sidebar items below the user’s home directory are now stored as relative paths rather than absolute, preventing problems when they are transferred to another Mac
  • Fixed problem where imported favorites were not permanently saved to disk in some cases
  • Transfer conflict sheet now respects “Show exact file sizesâ€? preference
  • Fixed incompatibility with VanDyke VShell 3.0 (SFTP)
  • Linked Folder Navigation no longer breaks when navigating to folder at root level
  • Passwords in droplets are no longer stored as cleartext
  • History items now remember their passive mode setting, in case you turn them into favorites
  • Fixed problem with connection panel if you enter a path in the Server Address field
  • Fixed 2 GB upload limitation with iDisk
  • Fixed issues with server-to-server transfers involving multiple folders
  • Reduced frequency of user interface updating during FTP transfers to lower CPU load
  • SFTP no longer disconnects you if you connect to a favorite with an initial path that doesn’t exist
  • Fixed problem with auto-setting of permissions on upload with SFTP servers when using international filenames
  • Fixed infinitely spinning progress bar if host lookup fails during DockSend
  • When saving files from internal editor, dirty flag is now not cleared until file successfully finishes uploading
  • Fixed problem where Linked Folder Navigation being enabled for a favorite could cause the path popup to become disabled
  • Fixed problem changing directory after server-to-server transfer completes
  • Stateless protocols (like WebDAV) do not need to “unwindâ€? the current directory at the end of a deep transfer, so they no longer do
  • Open in New Tab and Open in New Window items were missing from the Favorites contextual menu
  • Fixed problem that would cause canceled transfers to restart on certain FTP servers
  • Fixed bug preventing download of files via ftp:// URL when the file to be downloaded is not visible in the directory listing
  • Now ignores ._ files on Windows IIS servers
  • Fixed problem where externally editing a file, changing to a different server, then saving the edited file would try to upload it to the second server rather than the first
  • Double-clicking exported Transmit favorites now imports them
  • Can now import favorites from new Fetch shortcuts format

Transmit Reviewexcellent ftp software - Version: 3.6.9, 11/17/2009 07:32AM PST

Evil Lair
I keep trying other ftp software over the years, some free and some not, but this consistently has the fewest issues. It is also the only ftp software I've used that does not freak out over or hide files that have unicode text file names (Japanese).

Coming from Windows two years ago to Macs...I needed a dependable FTP client. I left Voyager and Transmit took it's place.

Awesome program!
