Had major problems with freezes (spinning ball) when trying basic functions; had to reinstall previous. 1st time ever a bad release?

i don't know if anyone else is having the same problem as me, but everything was going great with path finder until i installed snow leopard and then the latest path finder update. now path finder is horrible - it makes my mouse not work, it freezes my mac, it does funky things with windows that it shouldn't... i had to uninstall it & i'm just going to wait for a new updated version. i hope it comes soon b/c i miss path finder so much & it's only been a few days!

If you know what Path Finder gives you over Finder, you know why it's such a great application. Continues to be a critical app for increasing workflow productivity for many of us.

I have tried Path Finder several times, trying to work out why some people speak so highly of it.
It simply reproduces a number of the features that are already available in the Mac OS Finder, but, annoyingly, presents them as a separate application.
If you're looking for a far better way to navigate back and forward through your file system, try Classic Menu. Which, as its name suggests, brings back the old Mac menu that allows you to read long file names and displays everything as a hierarchy you can zoom up and down with just *one* click.

5.5 only appears to work on Snow Leopard. This is not clear in the description, but when you attempt to launch it you get a message that it will not work on this version of the OS (Leopard.)

The developer's site shows 5.1.5 as being the latest stable release and no where on their site in their forum is 5.1.6 mentioned.
There is a 5.1.7 beta discussed in their forum for 10.6 related issues.
Is this a typo above or where is 5.1.6 ???

The current version using the download link provided by CNET is exactly the same as the developer's site: 5.1.5. The new version (5.1.6) is not yet available (as of Sep 6).
Frankly libertyforall1776 it will be released for 64 bit when the developer thinks it makes fiscal sense and not one day before that. Why not give us all a rest please!
