Path Finder ReviewI like Path Finder, but it's just TOO SLOW - Version: 5.5.8, 2/4/2010 02:23AM PST

    Kudrabar
Path Finder 5.5.8 definitely has some bugs that make it behave oddly on occasion, but I could learn to live with that IF it weren't so slow on my 2.16 GHz Core2Duo iMac with 2 GB of RAM running OS 10.6.2 AND my 2.4 GHz Unibody MacBook with 4 GB of RAM also running 10.6.2. Especially if there's more than 2 other apps open, PF is way too sluggish. Cocoatech, I think it's time to figure out how to make it 64-bit! I'll just wait until you do before I buy Path Finder.

Path Finder Commentaryv. 5.5.8: When an icon is single-clicked in browser it opens, no matter how pref is set - Version: 5.5.8, 1/30/2010 09:56PM PST

    Kudrabar
This is extremely annoying. On my 2.16 GHz 20" Intel iMac running 10.6.2 and with the Microsoft Intellimouse Explorer's left button set to Single-click (which it does as you would expect on ALL other apps), it doesn't matter if I set the Path Finder 5.5.8 Browser preference to "Double-click when clicking icon" or not -- any file will open whenever its icon is single-clicked (but not the filename). IT DOES NOT DO THIS ON MY 2.4 GHz MacBook USING THE SAME MOUSE AND MOUSE SOFTWARE! Anyone else with this problem?

Path Finder ReviewOH MY GOD!!! - Version: 5.5.8, 1/20/2010 02:23AM PST

i just downloaded and launched 5.5.8.............

now i can't even adjust the size of my icons in Processes?!?! nor the font???

damn. i remember when i could change the color of the Sidebar so i wouldn't have to run with the stock light blue finder color which often clashed with all of my other custom Pathfiner colors. that was the first adjustability removed and i didn't say a peep.

now this Processes tweak and the two below???????

come on Pathfinder...don't do us like that. we bought you because your creation allows use to be individual. functionality and aesthetically. to work more effectively and enjoy visually while we do so. these exclusions diminish both aspects of those two goals when using Pathfinder.

please bring, as the two below, back into service.

    (do it quietly...we won't care)
