Product Description:

This application synchronizes data from your Newton with Mac OS X 10.2 (Jaguar). Open API allows developers to write plug-ins to sync more applications. (See http://www.everchanging.com/newton/ for documentation.)

What's new in this version:

Fix for bug #54; should no longer have an NSRangeException.
Possible Japanese character support; to switch the encoding from MacRoman to ShiftJIS, enter the following command in the Terminal:
defaults write com.everchanging.nsync useShiftJISEncoding -boolean true
Fix for bug #57; the clock is now synced first.
Fix for bug #19; the plug-in stuff is now in a framework and bundled inside the application; should no longer throw "multiple instances of SyncPlugin" errors to the console.
Updated the help files.

iCal calendar doesn't load - Version: 0.3m, 10/13/2006 08:00AM PST

I've been using this neat little app since February and have noticed that since upgrading to Mac OS 10.4.8 that I can't select an iCal Calendar in the Dates preference window. Has anyone else had this happen with the same OS? So now there's no way to sync dates unless I type them all in by hand. Oh joy...

unfortunately this seems to be a dead product... As a german user i both wrote an email to the developer and i wrote a message in the support forum about the problems with syncing data with non us characters in it... No response after weeks. Same problems are tracked as a bug in the sourceforge page, even no respinse from the developers. This COULD be the newton application of the year.. but without support my newton is just a game machine ,-((
