Product Description:

Labels X enhances Apple's file labeling features in Mac OS X. This means that, not only can you apply various color tints to file or folder icons, and sort the files by label, but also you have an option of applying color tints to either an icon or its name or both. This gives you more freedom and options in organizing your files. Additionally, Labels X shares file label information with Mac OS 9. So, no matter where you label your files - you will see the labels in both Mac OS 9 and Mac OS X (file labeling is a built-in feature in Mac OS 9).

What's new in this version:

Fixed an issue causing Labels X to stop working under some circumstances which led to every single one of LX's users emailing us. Oops.

Labels X was great, but if you are tired of waiting for a Leopard version…try iconXprit instead.

Labels X Troubleshooting ReportSuddenly no color - Version: 1.8.1, 5/5/2007 03:56AM PST

Sillen--2008
I've had Labels X since December 2002.
And loved every minute of it!
I currently have Labels X version 1.8.1. I work on a PowerBook G4, System 10.4.9.
Two days ago my icons stopped showing any color.
The icons just stopped showing any colors after a routine Restart.
I've uninstalled and reinstalled Labels X, but to no avail.
When I deactivate Labels X I get the OSX color bars. And I hate the way that looks...
Any thoughts?

I am one of those who has been fussing about the bug that caused problems with Finder's Recent Items.

But now, it is time to give credit where it is due. Many thanks to all those responsible for the fix.
