MacDJ is realtime audio mixing software built for DJ's and people who host parties. With an mp3 collection, MacDJ mixing software, and some powered external speakers, you can do professional level audio mixing. It is compatible with all Mac OS versions from Mac OS 8.6 to Mac OS X Jaguar. MacDJ features:
  • Automatic Cross-Fading. Volume Memory - remembers song volumes.
  • Total control over fades, even in mid-song.
  • Automatically loads iTunes library in OS X.
  • Recursive Folder Search - find music fast.
  • Equalizer - adjust bass and treble, as well as balance.

justify the "DJ" init's name, multiple soundcard support (e.g. USB soundcards) with a pre-listen function is essential. I'm alo missing a 'fade now' button. But thanks for the Aqua interface. Much better, much more functional than the GUI competitors like Baytex Party have to offer...

but the interface is just not as easy to use as other DJ software's interfaces (have seen some on Windows that even look better). If they polish the user interface (the way to put two different songs in the two players, and things like that) and add better support for ID3-tags (they are being read only 25% of the time now), then it could indeed be quite a great app. But now it's just not there yet. Very good try, though...
