SO disappointed this hasn't been updated for 10.4/Intel!

This is a GREAT piece of software! It would have done everything I need it to do, but it doesn't work with 10.4/Intel. The set up/preferences part was a super breeze and then when it was time to run it..... (and I was exited because Apple doesn't give you any of these great and necessary options, and it really would have taken a load off...) NADA. It came back saying that it "Failed to Save....." just like everyone else on here said. It's really a shame that the developer just quit this. Even the shareware apps don't do as much, and as easily as this. DEVELOPER: UPDATE!

I loved this app. It's the only solution I found for creating multiple alarms for a birthday (e.g., an email notification a day before and a message on the screen on the actual birthday).
Unfortunately, as others have mentioned, the app does not work with the current iCal version of 10.4. What a shame.

It's easy to use but I wish there was a default alarm set for maybe 2 days in advance for birthdays.

Confirmed that it doesn't work for me, either, on 10.4.2 with iCal 2.0.2 -- I get the message "Faild to create backup for Birthdays" and the resulting calendar is blank.

I can no longer update my Birthday calendars. Birthdaycal only lets me create a new calendar and then says it could not create a backup. The resulting calendar in iCal is empty?? I suppose it has to do with iCal's new way of naming calendar folders with long number strings. Hope theres a fix soon because this is a great application and iCals new birthday calendar doesn't allow alarms. Thanks Nate

Interface clarification for alarm settings needed - Version: 2.0.4, 1/6/2005 12:26AM PST

In iCal I always want to have my alarms set as message with sound. In Birthdaycal it seems I have to select both "Display message" and "Play sound" to achieve the same behaviour. But this is not true. "Play sound" actually means "display message with sound" in iCal. Selecting both options in Birthdaycal triggers two alarms in the same notification window at the same time.
Features I'd love to see. - Version: 2.0.4, 8/30/2004 09:47PM PST

I'd love it if BirthdayCal could [optionally] import anniversaries and other dates from AB to iCal.
It would be nice if it could optionally give the age in the iCal description. This might not be worth the bother given that it would no longer be a simple repeating event.
Thanks for giving this nice tool to us.
