old NewtonOS version of this game... it had three classes of ships (PT boat, cruiser, battleship) that repescively had up to three deploy points each, increasingly slow speed, increasing depth charge amounts and increasing armor levels. There were possibly variable classes of submarine, and the subs would shoot back. Helicopters would drop more depth charges, more armor (if you needed them) and a magnet that disrupted enemy torpedoes. That game, iirc, was somewhat better.
